Just returned from an incredible family outing - white water rafting in Idaho! We went with Mackay Wilderness River Trips. They offer a real family vacation on the Salmon river. Our kids, ages 6, 8 and 11, as well as my parents - mid-70's, all had the time of their lives. The best part of the trip, when we got back home, the kids want to go out - outside, of all things. What once was a line in front of the TV or gameboy has turned into "Can't we go out and do something?" It is amazing to see the difference a week in the outdoors with outdoor people can make on a city family.
